What changes in a high-rise
In a house, most plumbing belongs to one owner. In a tower, a single pipe can serve a whole column of units. The supply riser feeds every floor. Pressure-reducing valves keep the building’s water pressure in a safe range. Shared drain stacks carry waste from the kitchens and bathrooms stacked above each other.
That shapes how a condo job runs. A leak in your ceiling may start in the unit above. A slow kitchen sink may be a stack problem two floors up. A repair on a riser turns off water for more than one unit, so it has to be planned with the building.
Work inside the unit
Inside your unit, the work looks familiar. We swap electric water heaters, repair toilets and faucets, replace shut-off valves, clear drains and find leaks. The difference is access: small closets, shared hallways and the building’s work hours.
